Cauliflower cheese
Here’s my Chef’s secret recipe for a family favourite: Cauliflower Cheese!
Ingredients
- 1 medium head cauliflower
- 100g butter
- 75g plain flour
- 800ml milk
- 1 tlbsp wholegrain mustard
- 200g Grated tasty cheese
- salt and ground black pepper
Preparation method
Preheat your oven to 190C
Chop cauliflower into florets and put into boiling salted water until just tender. (stick fork or knife through)
Drain thoroughly.
For the sauce – Melt the butter and stir in the flour. Slowly add warmed milk whisking all the time.
When all the milk is added and it is hot again add the mustard and melt in the cheese.
Season.
Put the cauliflower into a dish and cover with sauce.
Add extra cheese and bake until the top cheese is golden.
