Hot Beef With Garlic Kailaan
Kailaan is a delicious Asian green that is super low in calories and a great alternative to Broccoli. Loaded with goodness and fast to cook, this recipe comes in 3 separate parts: The sauce, the beef recipe and the kailaan. You can try the sauce with other proteins, cook it with the beef and you can cook the kailaan separately for a super healthy green side dish or as a dish on it’s own!
Beef
- 200 grams of stir fry beef strips
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp onion powder or 1/4 minced onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
Take all ingredients (except the beef) and blitz together in a blender
Use it as a marinade for the beef and leave covered in the fridge for 30 minutes
Pan fry till cooked through
Kailaan
- Oil
- A pound of kailaan, washed and trimmed
- 4 garlic cloves
- Chilli flakes
- Salt to taste
Heat the oil and grate the garlic into it
Add the chilli flakes
Cook the kailaan for a couple of minutes till tender but still firm
Serve on a giant platter accompanied by the beef or sprinkle with sesame seeds and devour
